TOP TIPS ON CHOOSING A DUVET
1. Always use a duvet cover. They are machine washable and will pick up most of that unavoidable nasty stuff.
2. A tog value of 4.5 to 6.5 is best for summer; around 9 for spring and autumn and any-any thing up to 15 for winter.r.
3. You can buy matching pairs of duvets where one is for summer, the second for in-between, but put them together inside a duvet cover and they’re suitable for winter.
4. Manufacturers (and sleep experts!) assume that your bedroom is heated to 180C. 5. Dry cleaning a duvet can be expensive – only some duvet types are suitable for washing machines. 6. Your duvets don’t last forever. It’s time to replace them if you can see feathers or down poking out or they start to feel a little bit lumpy.
