It’s nearly time for lights, camera, action
THE final work is being carried out ahead of the opening of Stockport’s new multi-screen cinema.
The 10-screen Light Cinema will open at Redrock, in the town centre, at the end of November and fit out work is currently being carried out to put the final touches to it.
Other businesses at the leisure development, off Bridgefield Street, will be Zizzi, Pizza Express and the Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
Mike Thompson, commercial director for the Light Cinema, said: “We are really looking forward to opening in Stockport. We want everyone to have a trip to the cinema they will remember from the moment they step through our doors.
“Redrock is an exciting new destination and we are delighted to be part of it.”
Councillor Kate Butler, executive member for regeneration, said: “It’s exciting to see the fit out work at Redrock bringing the building to life as the opening gets closer.”
As the Light Cinema opens Cineworld will close at Stockport Exchange, where the next phase of the commercial development will then take place.
