A TALK about ‘architecture and embroidery in the Gothic Revival Era’ is due to take place at St Martin’s Church in Marple.
Entitled ‘Stitch and Stone’, it will be given by Dr Brenda Kay, chair of the Textile Society and relates to the time when the church on Brabyns Brow was built.
The event will be on Friday, October 13, from 7.30pm. Tickets can be bought on the door and refreshments will be available.
The church is this year celebrating 150 years of worship with various events, which will also include an arts and heritage weekend from November 3 to 5.
