James lands Christmas role
A TALENTED youngster has landed himself a starring role in a Christmas production at The Lowry Theatre.
James Allen, 12, is a pupil at St Ambrose College in Woodsmoor and is one of four young actors playing the part of Michael Hobbs in Elf.
A few theatre enthusiasts may already know him from productions such as Hamlet and Husbands and Sons, at the Royal Exchange and James also played Benji in a production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
He said: “I have really enjoyed all my roles so far. You’re made to feel just like any other member of the cast and part of one big team.
“There really is a strong community in the theatre.”
And James is not the only talented member if his family, with his brother Matthew also striving for theatre roles.
