Job club is launched in Stockport

A NEW weekly job club, Fresh Start, has been launched in Stockport.

Fresh start welcomes anyone who needs help in finding a job and is held every Friday from 10am to 3pm at First House, Brinnington.

At a launch event, attendees were able to see the newly-refurbished training suite and meet the people involved in the job club and hear about their journeys.

Partner agencies attended the event, as well as Robin Burman, chair of the board at Stockport Homes and the mayor of Stockport, Coun Linda Holt, who officially opened the job club.

Robin said: “It was fantastic to see so many people attend the event.”
