ELDERLY residents showed their ruthless streak in a Wii bowling tournament.

The residents from Stockport Homes’ Edinburgh Close sheltered scheme in Cheadle challenged scheme managers from across the organisa- tion in a battle to be crowned Wii bowling champions.

Their team the Edinburgh Dynamos beat the scheme managers by a landslide on the console bowling game.

As well as the tournament, the teams and their supporters enjoyed cake and refreshments, plus a bric-a- brac raffle raising £420 for Stockport Homes’ charity of the year Millie’s Trust, based in Cheadle.

Jean Simkiss, Scheme Manager at Edinburgh Close said: “The Wii bowling tournament was a great way of tenants, staff and the outside community coming together to raise funds for a worthwhile cause in a fun, active and sociable way.

“A fantastic time was had by all.”
