TRIBUTES AS TWO DIE IN HORROR CAR CRASH
TTRIBUTES have poured in after a schoolgirl and a 22-year-old man were killed in an horrific car smash in Stockport.
Levi Jade Apsley,15, was a passenger in a blue Vauxhall Corsa which careered into a tree in Offerton.
Both Levi and the young man, who was thought to have been driving, died at the scene of the tragedy.
Two other passengers – an 18-yearold boy and 23-year-old man – were also injured in the crash. The older man is critically ill in hospital and is thought to have had emergency surgery. The teenager is described as ‘stable’.
The dead man has not been named although messages left at the scene pay tribute to ‘Brendan’.
A young father walking his two dogs was left lucky to be alive after being thrown into the air when he was hit by the car – but one of his pets was killed.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the devastating crash on Dialstone Lane at 1.20am on Saturday with firefighters cutting the casualties out of the car in the aftermath.
Heartbroken family and friends of both victims have visited the scene – directly outside Dialstone Lane Methodist Church – where scores of floral tributes have been left in a makeshift shrine.
Popular Levi’s friends have spoken of their shock on a Facebook tribute site launched in her memory.
Her sister Molly said: “Baby girl i love you more than words can say”.
