Shoddy tram ser­vice

METROLINK has failed again. On Sun­day, April 19, I wanted to travel from Stret­ford to New­ton Heath. I boarded a tram at Stret­ford know­ing I would have to change to a Rochdale-bound tram.

So, I got off at Traf­ford Bar. It was then that I re­alised no trams were go­ing to New­ton Heath from that stop. I got on the next Pic­cadilly tram and, as in­structed by the tan­noy, alighted at St Peter’s Square for a re­place­ment bus to Vic­to­ria. There were no buses, no sig­nage and no Metrolink staff to be found. I spoke to some­one at cus­tomer ser­vice and they in­formed me the re­place­ment buses were run­ning from Pic­cadilly. Same thing there. No buses, sig­nage or staff to in­form. So I had to walk to Vic­to­ria. There is barely a week­end when I can get a tram from A to B.
