Could you give a pet a new forever home?

Stockport Times West - - PETS -

CAN you offer a homeless pet a loving home? There are many adorable animals waiting for a second chance in life at the RSPCA Stockport East Cheshire branch.

For the most up-to-date information on all of our animals please look at our Facebook site RSPCA Stockport, East Cheshire and West Derbyshire, our Twitter page @RSPCA Stockport and our website www.RSPCA-Stockport. org.

Here are just some of the loving pets in need of a new home:

Meet Remme who is a six-and-a-half-year-old Rottweiler.

He came into our care via another RSPCA branch and has immediately become a firm favourite at Stockport.

Remme is a gentle giant who loves his treats but struggles to always differentiate between the food and your hand.

Remme is not given bones or high value treats in the kennel as he has shown signs of food aggression with these.

He can be a little picky when it comes to meeting other dogs and for this reason he would have to be re-homed as the only dog in the household.

Remme has not lived with cats or small animals before and it is essential he goes to a home without these.

Like most Rottweilers, Remme likes to test you and enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with his lead, but he stops immediately if you tell him to sit.

He has previously been walked on a Canny collar but now trots happily alongside you on his collar and lead so the Canny is redundant.

Remme is a real people-orientated dog and likes to know where you are while he is out and about.

He will turn and look at you with his big brown teddy bear eyes looking proud to be out with his human friends.

Ideally, potential adopters would have owned a Rottweiler previously or other large breeds.

If you are looking for a true friend for life, then look no further than Remme.

He will be the perfect addition to an adult-only home. Please call 07854 382106 for more detailed information.

Meet Saffy who is approximately two years old.

She is very loving, really friendly and enjoys been fussed.

Please call 07432 709197 for more information.

Meet Poppy who is approximately three years old.

She came into our care when her elderly owner died and was left homeless having to fend for herself.

She is very affectionate, loves strokes, attention and company.

We feel she would be best-suited to a home with an older quiet cat or as the only cat. Please call 07432 709197 for more information.

Meet Mini who is a super cat.

This adorable little girl loves attention, people and is so friendly.

For more information about her, please call 07432 709198.

Meet Allie who is such an affectionate girl.

She is really friendly, likes attention and her food. To find out more about her, please call 07432 709198.

Dappy came to us as a result of an accident following which he was very traumatised but now he is happy and very settled.

He is approx three years old and has slight co-ordination problems.

Dappy is quite a character – friendly, very funny, energetic and he loves to play.

He is looking for that special someone who can give him lots of TLC, and who will be patient and get to know him and his little ways as he settles in.

Dappy will benefit from a quiet, pet-free home without young children.
