Green team seeks volunteers

Perth and Kinross Community Greenspace is looking for volunteers in Strathearn for a number of projects over the summer.

The greenspace team maintain a large network of paths and cycle tracks in Strathearn, and they are looking for volunteers to help them keep them in good order.

On Wednesday, May 3, the team wil be helping the Comrie Millenium Footpath Associatio­n widen the path so people of all abilities are able to use it. Volunteers should meet at 10am at the Laggan Car Park, Comrie.

On Saturday, May 20, volunteers are needed for pruning and strimming the Sally Ardoch Wood in Muthill. Meet at 10am at the south end of the Muthil cycle track.

On Saturday, June 3, the team will be back at the Muthill cycle track as the volunteers look to prepare it for the Sportive Cycling event the following Saturday. Vegetation and branches will need to be strimmed and leaves and debris will need to be cleared from the path to prepare it for the sporting event.

On Wednesday, June 14, the team will be pruning and strimming Bennybeg. Meet at 6pm in the Bennybeg Car Park.

The greenspace team are also looking for volunteers on Saturday, July 1 to strim the Kincardine Way in Crieff. Volunteers are to meet at 10am at the garages at the bottom of Maxton Road.
