Volunteers’ big splash

Strathearn Herald - - STRATHEARN VIEW -

Crieff Round Table has thanked all those who rallied to the call out for hardy souls for its dunking stool on Games Day.

Tabler George Whyte told the Herald: “We put out a call for volunteers from organisations we have donated money to to go on the stool. And we had a good response. We had four Crieff Juniors coaches - Stuart Corbett, Scott Brown, Aaron Myles and John Myles; Vale of Earn player Jordan Brown, Scout leader Donald Simpson; Friends of MacRosty Park member David Hutchison and Bertie Bus volunteer driver Ian Buchan.

“A big thank you to all of them for putting themselves in the splash zone. They all got dunked and just under £400 was raised.

“Even the Chieftain joined in at trying to dunk them. Jim is a former Tabler himself.”
