Trio in U-21 Scot­tish cham­pi­onships

Af­ter com­pet­ing at Cri­eff Archery Club’s an­nual out­door cham­pi­onship, a trio of tal­ented lo­cal mem­bers trav­elled to Glas­gow for the U21 Scot­tish Cham­pi­onship.

Emma Bor­rie, Dee King and her son Thomas were in ac­tion at the Craigholme Sports Com­plex.

Thomas (11) shot ex­tremely well in a‘Bris­tol IV’round, re­turn­ing a score of 699 points to take the ti­tle.

There was fur­ther suc­cess for the fam­ily as mum Dee posted a Scot­tish record 569 in a‘Na­tional’round to win first place in her di­vi­sion.

Emma also shot in the U21 sec­tion and scored a per­sonal best 1009 over 80, 60 and 50 yards – which was enough to claim sec­ond spot over­all.

The 19-year-old was re­cently se­lected to shoot for the se­nior Scot­land team at the re­cent Eurona­tions tour­na­ment.

The com­peiti­ton took place in June in Gosport.
