Archers shoot to win
Trio in U-21 Scottish championships
After competing at Crieff Archery Club’s annual outdoor championship, a trio of talented local members travelled to Glasgow for the U21 Scottish Championship.
Emma Borrie, Dee King and her son Thomas were in action at the Craigholme Sports Complex.
Thomas (11) shot extremely well in a‘Bristol IV’round, returning a score of 699 points to take the title.
There was further success for the family as mum Dee posted a Scottish record 569 in a‘National’round to win first place in her division.
Emma also shot in the U21 section and scored a personal best 1009 over 80, 60 and 50 yards – which was enough to claim second spot overall.
The 19-year-old was recently selected to shoot for the senior Scotland team at the recent Euronations tournament.
The compeititon took place in June in Gosport.
