Crieff and District Accordion and Fiddle Club
The Crieff Accordion and Fiddle Club met in the British Legion for the September
meeting. This month had more players and a bigger audience. Joan Blue and Gerry Boxall were backing the local players. On accordion were Stewart Smith, Fred Davidson, George Brunton, Gladys Wright, Peter Stewart,Willie McFarlane, Robert Dykes, Robert Miller and Bruce Lindsay. Fiddle players were Stewart Reid, Gordon Cameron and Gordon Walker. The guests for the evening were Tony Kearney and his band with Tony on button key accordion, Graeme Burns on fiddle, Ian McCallum on second box and Gerry Boxall on drums. In the second half Bruce Lindsay joined the band. They provided a variety of music for the audience to enjoy. The evening finished with a stramash led by Ian McCallum. Our guest band for October is Matthew McLennan and his band.
