Taylor, Brown, Cassidy, Smith, Finlay, Reilly and Fraser. Subs: Gunn, Bremner and G Brock.

The team’s training sessions will now be held on Tuesdays at 6.45pm at Strathearn Community Campus’s 3G pitches.

Vale are hosting a bingo tea for club funds on Friday, November 3, from 7.30pm in the British Legion, Perth Road. ● Auchterarder Primrose also pulled off a fantastic performance on Saturday to progress to the third round of the Scottish Cup.

Goals from Safferty and Urquhart at the Lang Toon campus mean the side will now face a tricky trip to face Glasgow Harp in the next round on Saturday, November 4.

Primrose’s attention turns to the first round of the Perthshire Cup this weekend, when they face a tough trip away to Bridge of Earn, who are currently a point above the Auchterarder side in A&B Taxi Division One. ● Strathearn Grove were cruelly eliminated from the Scottish Cup after a dubious Kettins goal saw the Strathmore side progress.

Grove had earned a replay at Lindsay Park after a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Crieff, with a Keir Cramb finish giving Grove the chance to produce a cup shock.

Saturday’s replay did not follow the Strathearn side’s script and, despite saving a penalty, a Kettins goal – which looked to have been offside – was enough to end their cup dreams.

The Division Three side will look to bounce back with a Perthshire Cup match away to high-flyers St Johns. Kick-off is at 1.30pm.

Vale are without any competitive action this weekend.
