Soroptimist International of Crieff held a Christmas Cracker event at the Rural Hall in Comrie last Wednesday.

The Yuletide treat was put on to raise funds for the nominated charities of president Mahri Lawie -Strathearn Art for Experience and Green Routes to Wellbeing.

SI Crieff’s Kathleen Coffey said: “Entertainment was provided by the Earnsong choir, and a number of local crafters were there selling their wares. Even though the weather was extremely bad that night and conditions underfoot treacherous, the sum of £250 was raised for the charities. SI Crieff wants to thank everyone in attendance, especially Earnsong and the crafters, who helped to make the evening a success.”
