All fired up for 2018
The Shaky Village ushered in the New Year in its usual big way with the Comrie Flambeaux, one of Scotland’s oldest fire ceremonies.
As the bells rang out to welcome in the new year, 12 tenfoot torches were lit at the top of Melville Square, which was packed with Hogmanay revellers.
The flambeaux parade was led by Comrie Pipe Band and this year there was a good turnout of guisers and small floats.
Tradition Flambeaux bearers set off on the ancient ritual of walking to the boundaries of the village as the bells ring in the new year
