TOP 3 PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS

-

1 GET COMFORTABLE

If your subject isn’t feeling comfortable in front of the camera you’ll only ever end up with a load of awkward images. Why not try to crack some jokes while you shoot?

2 LOOK ’EM IN THE EYE

The most important thing on any portrait is the eyes – get those in focus and the rest will take care of itself. Miss it even by a few millimetres and you can throw the shot away.

3 BLUR THE BACKGROUND

You want the focus of portrait shots to be the person, so use an aperture that adds a nice blur to the background. That gives depth to the image and makes it feel more 3D.
