Google Maps

Getting horribly lost when abroad isn’t fun, but there’s no excuse if you’ve got Google Maps. Download a chunk of map for offline use and you can safely get about whether driving or walking. Even offline the app is terrifyingly accurate, and it’ll also allow you to look up basic information about local pubs and clubs.
