About Me I’m alix Tomason, 26, and I recently bought my first home, a small two-up two-down end-of-terrace in Cheshire, with my partner, Grant, 27.

My challenge as soon as we moved in, we built a much-needed single-storey extension. However, the building works had left our garden full of rubble and in a state of disrepair, and we had a limited budget to transform it.

My wish list I wanted to create an inviting, low-maintenance courtyard garden that would be suitable for entertaining and relaxing in summer, but also be practical and provide all-year-round storage for bulky bikes and sports equipment.
