I’ve never tried wallpapering before, but would love to give it a go in my house. I’ve heard that the paste-the-wall type is the easier option. Is this true?

QThe thought of applying wallpaper may seem daunting to the absolute beginner, but paste-the-wall wallpaper makes decorating swift and easy. The Superfresco easy Paste Kit, £10, from Graham & Brown (shown above), cuts decorating time by half, thanks to a special backing that doesn’t expand when wet. You simply paste the wall rather than the paper, so there’s no need for a fiddly pasting table – you can then hang it straight from the roll and cut it to fit. it also peels off easily without the need for scraping and steaming, allowing you to keep up with the latest interior trends.
