Get a high-end look for a fraction of the cost with our easy make
This month we’ve put our own spin on the rustic side table by Loaf and created a design using on-trend hairpin legs. They’re the perfect way to work an industrial look into your decor and the log slice tabletop will add character.

Use sandpaper to smooth down one side of the log slice so it’s ready for use as a tabletop. If you want an extra layer of protection, apply clear varnish to the surface.
Turn the log slice upside down and place the three legs equally around the base. Use a measuring tape to adjust their positioning so the spacing is equal. Use a pencil to mark through the screw holes in each leg, then remove the legs and make pilot holes. Put the legs back in place and screw through to attach securely.
