1 Wipe down the sur­face of your jar with a dry cloth to re­move any dust. Use mask­ing tape to mark out the area on your jar where you want the la­bel to be po­si­tioned. Make sure the tape is pressed firmly down to en­sure a crisp line when you paint.

2 Paint a layer of chalkboard paint onto the glass in­side the masked-out area. re­move the mask­ing tape when you’ve fin­ished painting and leave to dry ac­cord­ing to the in­struc­tions on the tin. Once the paint has com­pletely dried, write on the la­bels of your choice with chalk.
