Players’ Covid own goal

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard believes footballers should be punished for breaking Covid laws amid pictures of some of them gathering together in groups (“Lampard: Stars must face action”, January 10).

What about the blatant disregard for the laws when they find it necessary to hug one another when they score? I know they can’t be two metres apart while playing but do they have to hug one another?
