Take a peek inside the stunning Berkshire home of interior designer Anouska Lancaster
Award-winning interior designer Anouska Lancaster, founder of Noushka Design, invites us into her bright and colourful Berkshire home
Left: Anouska has decorated her day room with a fusion of colour, pattern and texture. “I designed the room around the painting that hangs above the fireplace,” she says. “It’s by my favourite artist, Louise Dear, and
I love her use of colour.” The monochrome striped wallpaper by House of Hackney (houseofhackney.com) has a whimsical design that adds impact. Anouska transformed a vintage trunk into a striking coffee table with stickers and a glass top
Top left: Anouska’s bespoke kitchen has impressive granite worktops. The candystriped wallpaper gives a pop of colour and she has put a pair of shoes under a bell jar as a quirky touch. Umbrellas suspended from the roof lantern give a magical effect
Below left: The hallway features a showstopping sunburst mirror that Anouska picked up at Homesense (homesense.com). “I sliced our old dining table into a pair of console tables, which sit either side of the wall and are affectionately referred to as the Willy Wonka table,” she says. The fuchsia lamps are from TK Maxx (tkmaxx.com)
Right: The wall behind the headboard in the master bedroom has been adorned with Cole & Son’s Savuti wallpaper (cole-andson.com). “I mixed up the cushions on the bed with bespoke and off-the-peg designs,” Anouska says. The houndstooth check throw is from Homesense
Top right: “I’ve created a social seating area in the master bedroom which gives it a boutique hotel feel,” she says. The bookshelf and fireplace have been painted in Farrow & Ball’s vibrant Charlotte’s Locks paint (farrow-ball.com). “It perfectly complements the wallpaper at the other end of the room and stops an otherwise neutral scheme being boring,” she adds. The gorilla lamp is by Abigail Ahern for Debenhams (debenhams.com)
