EDDIE JONES gave strong backing to Italy as he prepares for today’s Six Nations showdown at Twickenham. There have been calls for the struggling Italians to be replaced in the tournament by Georgia or at least to face a relegation play-off if they finish bottom. But England head coach Jones (above) said: “Italy need to be supported. “If their rugby is not developing as people want, they should be supported by World Rugby and the rest of Tier One. “To make a good team you need financial power, intellect and desire. You have got to find ways to help. Relegation is not something I want to delve into. It doesn’t have anything to do with us beating them. All I think is they should be supported.”
