UNITED SET TO LAND £35M INTER STAR

-

INTER MILAN’S star winger Ivan Perisic has reached a verbal agreement to join Manchester United – with discussions over a potential move already pencilled in.

According to the two parties are going to meet next week to discuss the potential transfer of the Croatia international to Old Trafford.

The San Siro giants need to raise cash before June 30 to pass financial fair play regulations, with United ready to pay as much as £35million for the winger. The move could spark a merry-go-round, with Inter keen to sign PSG’s former United winger Angel Di Maria as a replacement.

Meanwhile, United defender Matteo Darmian is set to be at the centre of a Serie A tug-of-war as both Inter and AS Roma battle for his signature.

The Italian international has long been linked with a return home, where he previously played for AC Milan, Palermo and Torino, and sources suggest a deal has become more of a case of “when than if ”.

However, claims Roma plan to offer a deal which will take Darmian, 27, to the Stadio Olimpico on loan for one season, with an obligation to buy next summer.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has continued his very busy start to the summer and he shows no sign of ending soon.

The Dutchman yesterday took his spending past £60m after concluding a deal for Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez.

The Spain Under-21 international, who is with his country in Poland for Euro 2017, agreed to join Koeman’s Goodison revolution last night.

It follows the club record signing of £30m Jordan Pickford and Ajax captain Davy Klaassen, who arrived for £25m.

Ramirez had looked like joining Atletico Madrid but their transfer embargo opened the door for Everton to activate the £5.2million release clause in his contract.

Koeman is also looking at a double swoop on Burnley. He has been chasing central defender Michael Keane since last summer and now has striker Andre Gray in his sights.

Both players have only one year left on their contracts but Clarets boss Sean Dyche is determined not to let them leave on the cheap.

Tottenham are another club who have been watching Gray (below) as they look to bring in some support for Harry Kane. West Ham are in the market for a central defender which could prove some salvation to England international Chris Smalling. The defender is set to leave Manchester United after the signing of Swede Victor Lindelof pushed him down the pecking order. Everton are also showing interest in him if they fail to land Keane, while West Brom and Newcastle are being kept in touch. Arsenal are set to offload players and England under-21 Callum Chambers interests Bournemouth, who will be willing to match the £15m asking price. And it looks like Lucas Perez is on his way, with Spanish sides Deportivo La Coruna and Sevilla both keen, as are Turkish rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. Chelsea are keen on Greece international Kostas Monolas, rated at £55m by Roma, who have to sell to avoid penalties under financial fair play. The Blues are looking to sign at least one central defender after releasing former captain John Terry at the end of last season. Monolas has been well down their list of potential signings but a deal would be straightforward to complete given Roma’s need to sell someone quickly.
