Dyche’s ‘weird moment’ with Maradona
BARCELONA will enrage Liverpool by continuing their pursuit of Philippe Coutinho when the January transfer window opens.
The Catalans were told in the summer that the Reds wouldn’t welcome any more interest in the Brazilian playmaker after rejecting three bids.
But he is still top of Barca’s wanted list and Nou Camp bosses believe they can get their man for around £132million with a down payment of £75m.
That is still some way short Liverpool’s £176m valuation but Barca are ready to play hardball over the fee as the only buyers on the market.
Coutinho, 25, has set his heart on a move to Spain and has told Paris Saint-Germain he isn’t interested in joining them.
He put in a transfer request in the hope of pushing through a deal but Liverpool stood firm hoping to keep the midfielder until next summer.
