Warriors finally topple the Tigers
WORCESTER have ended a 122-year wait for a win at LEICESTER.
The Warriors resisted a late fightback at Welford Road to win 31-27 as winger Josh Adams (below) followed his hat-trick against NORTHAMPTON with two more tries.
The other touchdowns came from Alafoti Fa’osiliva, Jack Singleton and Ryan Mills, while the Tigers replied through Mike Fitzgerald, Sam Harrison and Gareth Owen.
BATH climbed above Leicester into third place with an irresistible first-half performance to set up a 38-14 victory over HARLEQUINS.
The bonus point was wrapped up in the first quarter with tries from Paul Grant, Freddie Burns, Elliott Stooke and Matt Banahan.
Quins hit back with a try in each half through flanker Henry Cheeseman and wing Gabriel Ibitoye.
SALE inflicted more pain on Northampton with an 18-15 win in yesterday’s late kick-off.
The teams were level at 15-15 after an hour, having scored two tries each, and a penalty by replacement Will Cliff proved decisive at the AJ Bell Stadium as Sale remain 10th.
