Knife thugs threaten woman

A woman has been attacked in her home by two men.

The pair forced their way into the woman’s house and threatened her with a knife and demanded money before leaving with some of her property.

Police say the attack, in East Craigs, Edinburgh, left the woman shaken but unhur t . The incident happened in Moreland View on Friday at 7.50pm.

One of the men is said to be of medium build. He was wearing jogging trousers and a grey jumper.

Detective Inspector Paul Grainger said: “This was an unprovoked attack on a woman in her own home. We are keen to trace anyone who saw anything unusual in the area on Friday.”
