Villagers line up to slam mobile phone firm

-

Villagers have been left hanging on the phone for months after a mobile mast stopped working.

O2 customers in Aberfoyle, Perthshire, have had little or no signal since December.

The mobile giant insist trees are to blame for the outage – but locals disagree.

Diana Carmody, 60, said: “The trees were cut back in August.

“The lack of signal is driving me and half the village to despair.

“Other operators who use the same mast seem to be able to provide a service. So why can’t O2?”

Diana, a finance director, pays £16 a month for sim only.

She said: “I called O2 to complain but was passed from pillar to post via a call centre in India.

“O2 are taking no notice of us. Please help.”

O2 said: “We need to make adjustments to our mast and work is also required to a nearby mast. This is taking longer than we expect. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
