Joe given armband

Joe Hart will lead England out against Lithuania tonight after Gareth Southgate handed him the captain’s armband.

The Manchester City keeper, on loan at Torino, will become the fourth player to skipper the team in as many matches.

Captain Wayne Rooney did not make the squad for the World Cup qualifier while Gary Cahill – skipper in their 1- 0 loss to Germany – is banned.
