Mark quits Diamonds

Former Celtic star Mark Wilson has stepped down as Airdrie boss after only seven months in charge.

The 33-year- old led the Diamonds to a third-place finish in League One last season but missed out on promotion in the play-offs.

A club statement said: “After his f irst taste of management, Mark has decided he now wishes to expand h is coach ing horizons across the game.”
