DoDon­nie Macleod’s DIY sp­spe­cial in the Lewis ReRe­tire­ment Cen­tre in StoS­tornoway is one of a rafraft of new pro­grammes be­be­ing launched for BBC Al Alba’s Other au­tumn high­lightsbO sea­son. in­c­in­clude Scot­land’s GaGame Chang­ers, a dodoc­u­men­tary that fol­lows the Scot­land women’s foofoot­ball team as they emem­bark on their jour­ney to the Euro­pean ChCham­pi­onship Fi­nals.

It also fol­lows them on an­other vi­tal cam­paign – the push to over­come prej­u­dice which pre­vents girls play­ing foot­ball.

Four On The Cuillin is a new se­ries which takes four school-leavers from Glas­gow to Skye, where they take on an ex­pe­di­tion to climb the Cuillin Ridge, one of Europe’s most spec­tac­u­lar moun­tain ranges.

Stornoway To Ser­bia – Putting Out The Fire, which is on to­mor­row at 9pm, fol­lows the Stornoway fire­men as they join forces with other Scot­tish fire­fight­ers to take five re­tired fire en­gines and an am­bu­lance 1500 miles across Europe to Ser­bia.

BBC Alba have joined the BBC Writ­er­sroom to launch a tal­ent search to find the best com­edy writ­ers for a new Gaelic show.

They are look­ing for sketches aimed at an 18 to 34-year-old au­di­ence, some of which will fea­ture as part of a new com­mis­sion to be filmed by Still Game di­rec­tor Michael Hines.
