Brett eyes Margot for Hefner wife role

Sunday Mail (UK) - - News - James Sexton

Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie is set play Hugh Hefner’s ex wife in a biopic about his life – fulfilling the 91-year-old’s wish.

The magazine mogul died last month. He previously gushed about the star, saying: “She should be in Playboy. Send her a message.”

At the time, Margot declined and said she had “put her family through enough”.

Now director Brett Ratner is in talks with Margot to appear in his Hefner biopic Rush Hour.

If she agrees, she will appear alongside her Suicide Squad co- star Jared Leto, who will play Hefner.

A source said: “Margot turned the offer down before but this offer is different.

“She’s not stripping down for the magazine, she would be playing a role in a movie and she’s considering it.

“Jared is working on the movie with his long-time director buddy Brett and they are really pushing for Margot to have a major role in the film.

“Jared is bugging Margot no end. She’s perfect for a part and he’s not going to give up until she accepts.”

Hefner was married three times. First to student Mildred Williams. They had two children together.

In 1989, he married Playmate of the Year Kimberley Conrad, who was 36 years his junior. They had two sons before splitting in 1998.

His third wife and widow was Playboy Playmate of the Month Crystal Harris, who he wed in 2012.
