One year on.. and Trump’s failures prove US elected a clown

Sunday Mail (UK) - - News -

And, amidst all of this news, a terrible anniversary rolled around. One of the darkest in living memory. Can it really have been a year ago last Wednesday that I sat slack-jawed in Los Angeles and watched with utter horror as the reality rolled in? Americans had only gone and elected Donald Trump as their 45th president. A year on since that awful night and where is he with all the crazy promises that won the election? Walls built: Zero. Muslim ban: Failed. Clintons locked up: None. Obamacare repeal: Non-existent. Golf trips: Endless. Income taxes: Still hidden. Tax reform: Not yet.

And it is this last point that still hangs in the air. Tax reform is the only reason the sick, greedy, cynical animals of the GOP and their billionaire backers have stuck with Trump this far. If, as looks increasingly likely, he fails to deliver them the massive tax cuts he promised and Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation continues to close in, we’ll get to watch a pack of dogs turn on one of their own as never before.

And then we’ll finally be getting close to where this whole fiasco has been heading since America went collectively mad enough to elect the clown in the first place – the impeachment of Donald J Trump.

Now that’s an anniversary I’d happily celebrate for a long, long time.
