My £200 wave of success
Pamela Spence is £200 better off thanks to me after I secured her a refund for a doublebooked holiday.
She arrived in Portugal in April to find the apartment she had hired was not available.
After a three-hour wait, On the Beach told her to pay for a taxi to an alternative hotel. She complained and the firm promised to get back to her in 28 days. But she called me in when she heard nothing.
I got on the case and On the Beach quickly refunded £ 200 of the £600 she had paid.
Pamela, of Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow, said: “I still had my holiday, albeit not at the apartment I wanted. I’m happy to accept £ 200.”
On the Beach, based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, said: “The matter has been resolved.”
