Leccy bill is out of order

Sunday Mail (UK) - - The Judge -

A year after my gran died, I received a final demand from her electricity supplier claiming she owed £395. But we took readings and settled all accounts before we handed her house back to the council. Do they have a claim against her estate? In theory, yes. But if you still have the readings, present them to the firm along with the bill you paid at the time. If they got it wrong, ask them to write off the balance, given the estate has been finalised. The solicitor who handled the executry will assist if need be.
