It’s a beautiful day after I win £725 gig refund
A refund was the sweetest thing for U2 fan Pete Campbell after an online agent sent his gig tickets to someone else.
He and wife Jillian fought Viagogo for months after paying £725 for seats at Twickenham in London for their 40th wedding anniversary.
Viagogo initially claimed they had no record of the booking – but the money had been taken from Pete’s bank account.
He made a claim via TSB as he had paid by debit card and the money was credited to his account.
But it was later removed when Viagogo told the bank he’d had online access to the tickets before the gig, which was nonsense.
I got on the case and Viagogo have now issued a full refund to Pete, 56, of Monifieth, Angus.
The IT support engineer said: “Thanks for all your help. It’s just a shame we missed the concert. By all accounts it was one of the best ever.”
