Will daughter have a claim?
I am terminally ill and my husband is dead, so I willed everything to my son. But my wayward daughter is instructing a solicitor, claiming she is due something from me. I only have two children – surely this can’t be the case? Law dictates that you can’t disinherit kids in Scotland. No matter what your will says, your daughter is entitled to claim her legal rights. Your children are collectively entitled to one half of moveables which include money, cars, furniture and jewellery.
