American football team Washington Redskins may change their name after a U-turn by its owner.

Dan Snyder had refused to alter the team’s name, which is seen as a racial slur.

But he softened his stance after FedEx Corp, which owns naming rights to their stadium in Maryland, called for it to be rebranded.

Baseball team Cleveland Indians are also considering a name change.
