Gloves off as England run short
Michael Keane
He has emerged as a class central defender under the tutelage of Sean Dyche at Burnley. One year left on his contract.
Benjamin Mendy
Has been superb at left back for AS Monaco as they have progressed to the quarterfinals of the Champions League. A gifted and strong defender.
Ross Barkley
Wenger could well be the man to bring the best out of the midfield star, who has a strained relationship with his Everton boss Ronald
Koeman. A class act.
Alexandre Lacazette
The Lyon striker (right) is highly rated in France and a proven goalscorer. Wenger will have to fight for his signature, but he would be the perfect replacement if Alexis Sanchez leaves. Kieran Gibbs
A product of the academy, but never quite fulfilled his potential and has fallen behind Nacho Monreal in the pecking order.
Gabriel Paulista
He has failed to add the defensive steel for which Wenger was hoping. A move back to Spain is the best option.
Carl Jenkinson
Almost left the club in January, but the move to Crystal Palace fell through. It could well be revived in the summer.
Jack Wilshere
Arguably the best home-grown talent since Liam Brady, but injuries have blighted his career. May be better to get a fresh start, although Wenger would love him to stay.
