Five girls ‘raped 729 times by foster dad’ in 5yr ordeal

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of at least 729 counts of rape against girls he fostered from an orphanage.

The alleged attacks were over a fiveyear period and police say four victims were subjected to daily abuse.

They were said to have been kept as sex slaves at the home the man shared with his wife, his own three kids and nine foster children. It is unclear if his wife was aware of the alleged abuse.

She had fostered three boys and he was the legal guardian for the five girls he is accused of abusing, plus one other child. He was held after one of the girls – all 17 and under – alerted teachers at her school in the city of Komsomolskon-Amur, in far eastern Russia.

The couple had received awards from social services for their fostering.

Officials in the Khabarovsk region are said to be “deeply shocked” and believed the man to be a “model foster father”.

Education minster Alla Kuznetsova said: “There were no alarms at all.”
