INSPIRATIONAL This week Loose Women has been showing the video diaries of Linda Nolan who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer aged 58.

She talks candidly of what it’s like to have cancer, sharing her hospital visits, medical tests and her feelings. Her honesty, calmness and positive approach, are truly inspirational.

There’s no doubt in my mind she is giving others with cancer a feeling that they are not alone, and also providing their family and friends with a real insight into what is involved when someone is diagnosed.

Thank you, Linda for being so brave and open. Your cancer story is helping others in a more positive way than you can imagine.

Congrats to Serena Williams on the birth of her daughter who she has named Alexis Jr, after fiancé Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian. After a few complications that kept mother and baby in hospital for nearly a week, it’s wonderful to see they’re both happy and healthy. Somehow I think when it comes to parenting, Serena will be the kind of mom who never takes her eye off the ball.
