Viv’s unique fashion scents

CAPTION: DYDYDYDY I always felt there was something a bit odd about fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, and now I know what it is. She only bathes once a week.

But once you’ve stopped heaving, get this… she is 76 and she puts her youthful glow down to not washing too much.

According to dermatology professor Stephen Shumack she’s got a point.

“Overwashing causes de-fatting of the skin,” he says, “getting rid of the natural body oils we produce to protect the skin cells.” Prof Schumack adds: “This can cause damage, making them more permeable to bacteria or viruses, precipitating itchy skin, dryness and flakiness and worsening things like eczema.”

So there’s your choice – smell good or look good.

No wonder they call it high fashion.
