Mum’s grief for victim of tram trauma

- BY AMY SHARPE

A GRIEVING mother of two says her partner was the “silent eighth victim” of the Croydon tram crash.

Sally Anderson told how Everton Grossett was plagued with nightmares and panic attacks after being injured in the tragedy, which killed seven passengers a year ago.

He suffered so badly she believes it led to his death from a heart attack, aged 55, four months later.

Speaking at a memorial in New Addington, Croydon, on Thursday, Sally, 44, who has two sons aged seven and nine, said: “What he experienced that day changed him permanently. Not to take anything away from the other victims, but as far as I’m concerned, Everton is the eighth.”
