The Touran was about to turn right when it was hit by a VW Golf being pursued by police. Resident Adam Robinson, 24, said it “must have been going fast because of how loud the bang was when it crashed. It sounded like a gun”
The Independent Office for Police Conduct, which has launched a probe, said dash-cam footage confirmed that “a pursuit did take place”.
