Lawyer quits in film mogul sex pest row

A LAWYER ad­vis­ing movie boss Har­vey We­in­stein amid an es­ca­lat­ing se­ries of sex­ual ha­rass­ment ac­cu­sa­tions quit yes­ter­day.

High-pro­file le­gal ex­pert Lisa Bloom said she had “re­signed as an ad­vi­sor” to the 65-year-old pro­ducer.

Ms Bloom, who had pre­vi­ously de­scribed We­in­stein as “a di­nosaur” while de­fend­ing her de­ci­sion to rep­re­sent him, added: “My un­der­stand­ing is that he and his board are mov­ing to­ward an agree­ment.”

We­in­stein, whose films in­clude Gangs of New York and Shake­speare in Love, is now on leave of ab­sence from his com­pany and a third of its all-male board have re­signed.
