I’ve mushroom for lawn improvement

Sunday Mirror - - PUZZLES -

I’m getting mushrooms on my lawn. It’s open to the sun so I can’t see why it would have drainage problems. I don’t want my kids eating the mushrooms. Help! – Georgina via email DAVID: The soil may need to be aerated so moisture and air circulate better, especially if the kids run around on it every day, compacting it. Use a garden fork or specialist tools. And check under the soil for decomposing roots from long-removed trees as fungi will thrive on them.
