Trump: Putin is insulted by meddle claim
AMERICAN President Donald Trump yesterday said Vladimir Putin feels insulted at claims that Russia meddled with the result of the US election.
Mr Trump said after confronting Mr Putin in Vietnam: “He said he didn’t meddle. I asked him again.
“You can only ask so many times. Every time he sees me, he says, ‘I didn’t do that’. And I believe he means it. I think he is very insulted by it.”
US intelligence agencies believe Russia try to influence the US presidential election a year ago.
But Mr Trump, who met Mr Putin at the AsiaPacific Economic Co-operation summit, denied there was any pact between his aides and Russia. He said: “There was no collusion.”
