Star treat­ing nurses af­ter her re­cov­ery

KEEP­ING Up Ap­pear­ances star Pa­tri­cia Rout­ledge is giv­ing tick­ets for her show to nurses who helped her.

The 88-year-old, who played Hy­acinth Bucket, had to ditch a one-woman show af­ter hurt­ing her­self in a fall at Bux­ton, Der­bys.

She is re­turn­ing on Fri­day to talk about her ca­reer and de­cided on the give­away. Dame Pa­tri­cia said: “The show will be a very spe­cial mem­ory. I can­not praise the ser­vices of the NHS too highly. .”

Tick­ets are be­ing given to A&E nurses at hos­pi­tals in Bux­ton and Step­ping Hill, near Manch­ester, where she was treated.

Nurse chief Ali­son Lynch said: “We’re de­lighted.”
